Myoko Ski Lodge

Myoko Ski Lodge offers an east meets west, self contained accommodation and skiing experience in the culturally traditional, Japanese village of Akakura Onsen. The perfect ski lodge accommodation from which to explore the greater Myoko ski area with some of the most reliable, uncrowded, chair lifted powder skiing in the world. Start each day with a self serve, complimentary, western, continental breakfast in our spacious, valley view dining area overlooking the village. Then it's a 300 metre walk to one of two ski resorts flanking the village. Families can walk down hill to a chair lift at Akakura Onsen Ski Resort with English speaking ski school and for the more advanced skier looking for bigger lines and great backcountry, it's a 300 metre walk up hill to adjoining Akakura Kanko. Either way, you can still ski back almost to the door for lunch! For the more adventurous with a penchant to explore, you'll find yourself conveniently located to multiple ski areas with a wide variety of terrain, from the longest groomed run in Japan and the second biggest vertical lifted ski area as well as mesmerising tree skiing, park riding and back-country shredding at any of seven ski resorts all within a 30 minute bus ride from the village, making our central Akakura Onsen village location the best place to stay in Myoko. After each epic day, carving your name on Mount Myoko, it's time to relax with a revitalising soak in one of our own, in-house, natural onsen baths which are direct fed from a volcanic hot spring. Then socialise with a drink by the double sided, stone fire place, before strolling to dinner at a raman bar or one of several other delicious, village restaurant options or choose to whip up something simple (or fancy) with your family and friends (old and new) in Myoko Ski Lodge's self catering communal kitchen. After dinner, retreat to the cosy lodge lounge to compare tales of the day's memorable powder experiences and share plans with new friends from around the world for tomorrow's adventures before retiring to the comfort of your Western or Japanese, tatami style bedroom.
